Glenmorangie Nectar D'or 12 Year Scotch Whisky is a Highland single malt that spends around ten years in ex-bourbon American oak before a finish of about two years in Sauternes wine barriques from Bordeaux, France. Glenmorangie bottles it at 46% ABV, or 92 proof.

Dr. Bill Lumsden created the whisky with the memory of stepping into a French pastry shop in mind. Lime and orange rind open the nose with dates, coconut and nutmeg; the palate moves through ginger, toasted almond, lemon meringue and honeycomb. A long, sweet finish closes on white chocolate and lemon.
