Horse Soldier Barrel Strength Bourbon is the Reserve expression of the Horse Soldier line from American Freedom Distillery, distinguished by its silver medallion. This straight bourbon is bottled uncut at barrel strength, which varies from batch to batch; the producer lists it at 110 proof and above.
It is blended from small batches of mature wheated bourbon and left non-chill filtered. Butterscotch, ginger and cherries shape the nose, while toffee and stone fruit carry the palate with ginger returning. The finish is full-bodied and decadent.
