Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey belongs to Jameson's Reserve Series: a triple-distilled blend of small-batch grain and single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 80 proof. It matures in double-charred barrels, and Jameson states that each barrel is aged 9 to 12 years, compared with 4 to 7 years for Jameson Original.

Butterscotch, fudge and creamy toffee lead the nose. The palate follows with nutty notes, spice, vanilla and smooth sweetness, and the finish is rich and intense, with toasted wood and vanilla.
