Johnnie Walker Blue Scotch Whisky is a blended Scotch presented without an age statement and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). Only one cask in every 10,000 is hand-selected for the blend.

Among its components are whiskies from long-closed "ghost" distilleries, Scottish stills that no longer operate. Johnnie Walker describes the flavor as a single portrait rather than a nose-to-finish breakdown: vanilla and honey come first, joined by a floral note of rose petals, before generous, rolling smoke draws the whole together.
