Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak Scotch Whisky
Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak Scotch Whisky is a limited annual release from The Macallan, a single malt aged 18 years. Spirit from the distillery's "Curiously Small Stills" matures on the 485-acre Macallan Estate in Speyside, predominantly in sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez, Spain, and is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
The casks alone give the whisky its natural color, with hues of mahogany. Ginger, dark chocolate and dates rise from the glass, and the full-bodied palate brings mature oak, ginger and raisin.
