Macallan Rare Cask Scotch Whisky

Macallan Rare Cask Scotch Whisky is a Speyside single malt without an age statement, drawn predominantly from sherry-seasoned European oak casks, with the sherry from Jerez de la Frontera. Each year The Macallan's Whisky Mastery Team reviews its casks and chooses only a small fraction of them for Rare Cask. It is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).

The color, a natural ruby mahogany, comes from the wood alone. Raisin and fresh apple meet lemon and orange on the nose; the palate deepens into sweet raisin, vanilla and dark chocolate with a light lift of lemon zest, and the finish is enduring and velvety, smooth to the end.
