Michter's US1 Unblended American Whiskey

Michter's US1 Unblended American Whiskey is distilled and bottled in Kentucky, released in small batches and bottled at 83.4 proof. What sets it apart from bourbon and rye is the wood: it ages in previously used, whiskey-soaked American white oak barrels rather than new oak.

Michter's states that it never contains grain neutral spirits. Butterscotch, vanilla, caramel and dried fruit shape the nose, then return on the palate with the butterscotch running deeper; the finish turns to ripened fruit.
