Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert Red Blend is a California red wine from Orin Swift Cellars that the winery presents as a Zinfandel blend. The name refers to eight years in the early 2010s when Orin Swift was barred from making any Zinfandel wines. The current 2024 release is a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Syrah, matured 8 months in French oak, 32% of it new.

For the 2024 vintage, the winemaker describes an opaque mauve core and aromatics of black plum and boysenberry galette, Tellicherry peppercorn, cedar and musk. The palate shows wild blackberry, crispy pluot, a hint of fennel and slate, and soft framing tannins lead to a close of milk chocolate covered raspberry.
