Plantation 20 Year Fiji Rum

Plantation 20 Year Fiji Rum is a single-cask pot-still rum, distilled in 2001 at the Rum Co. of Fiji and released by Plantation, now Planteray, as Fiji Islands 2001 in its 2022 Single Casks series.

Its maturation unfolds in three stages: 19 years in ex-bourbon casks in the tropics, a further year in France in Ferrand casks, then a four-month finish in a cask from Rozelieures, a French single malt whisky distillery.

The nose moves from custard, banana flambé and peach to hazelnut, quince, marzipan and orange, with a hint of seaweed. On the palate, passion fruit and citrus meet vanilla, mint and eucalyptus, edged with gentle smoke and charcoal.
