Plasencia Alma del Cielo Boreal Toro is the 6⅛ x 54 toro in Plasencia's Alma del Cielo line. Plasencia lists marzipan, nougat, cedar, ginger and orange zest: a creamy start with marzipan and honey that turns earthy, with orange zest and Spanish cedar, and a gingery finish.
Alma del Cielo, “soul of the sky,” is the fourth line in Plasencia's Alma series. It was introduced at the 2025 PCA trade show and was shipping to retailers by May 2025, Cigar Aficionado reported. It is a 100% Nicaraguan puro, and part of the filler is high-altitude leaf from Hacienda San Julián in Condega, a farm Cigar Aficionado places at about 3,500 feet, with cooler nights and more sun than the valley farms below. It is rolled at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua.
The Boreal is the toro, 6⅛ x 54. Cigar Aficionado scored it 90 points in October 2025 and rated it medium, noting incense, buttery oak, marzipan, mint and brown sugar, with a butterscotch finish.
