Red Schooner Voyage 12 Malbec
Red Schooner Voyage 12 Malbec is a Malbec from the Wagner family, led by winemaker Charlie Wagner. The grapes are grown in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, then chilled and shipped by sea to Caymus in California, where the wine is made. Because it falls outside standard labeling rules it carries no vintage date and is known instead by its voyage. Voyage 12 is the 2022 vintage.
The winery describes a style that is dense, dark and supple. Its notes call the wine strikingly smooth, with scents and flavors of dark fruit and fine, textural tannins.
