Riazul Añejo Tequila
Riazul Añejo Tequila is a tequila añejo of 100% Blue Weber agave, estate-grown in the Jalisco highlands and produced by Compañía Tequilera de Arandas (NOM 1460). It spends two years in French oak barrels that previously held XO Cognac and is bottled at 40% ABV.
The agave is slow-roasted and double distilled. Vanilla, caramel, baking spice, dried fruit and cooked agave gather on the nose. The palate recalls cinnamon toast, with vanilla, caramel, oak and black pepper, and the finish is long and warm, ending on butterscotch.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
