Riazul Extra Añejo Tequila
Riazul Extra Añejo Tequila is aged four years: three in American oak bourbon barrels, then a final year in Oloroso sherry casks. The 100% blue agave is estate-grown at about 7,200 feet in the highlands of Jalisco, and the tequila is bottled at 40% ABV.
The agave is steam-baked for 36 hours and double distilled in stainless steel pot stills. Each bottle is hand-numbered and presented in a wooden gift box. Agave, oak, ripe fruit, vanilla, spice and honey make up the nose. The palate is slightly sweet, with dried fruit, honey and vanilla, and the finish is long and sweet with baking spice.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
