Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is a dry white wine from Santa Margherita, made from Pinot Grigio grown in the Adige River Valley in the Italian Alps. In 1961 the winery began fermenting Pinot Grigio without skin contact, moving away from the copper-tinted Ramato method that was then standard. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in temperature-controlled tanks.
The winery describes a straw-yellow wine with a clean, intense aroma and a bright, well-balanced taste, and highlights the aroma of Golden Delicious apples. It calls the wine a clean aperitif and suggests it with seafood, fresh cheeses and white meats.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass and offer it by the bottle. Our cellar changes as bottles are opened and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
