Talisker 2022 Distillers Edition Scotch Whisky

Talisker 2022 Distillers Edition Scotch Whisky is the 2022 bottling of Talisker's annual limited Distillers Edition, a double-matured single malt from the Isle of Skye. Following maturation in refill American and European oak, it takes a second maturation in heavily re-charred American oak casks seasoned with Amoroso sherry, and it is bottled at 45.8% ABV (91.6 proof).

Talisker was founded on Skye in 1830. Ozone-fresh sea air and beach seaweed open the nose before richer smoke comes through. The palate is oily, smoky and briny, sweet with rich fruit as pepper builds, and the finish is long and powerful, sweet then drying, with peat smoke and cocoa nibs.
