Tanqueray Gin
Tanqueray Gin is a London Dry Gin built on just four botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica root and licorice. Charles Tanqueray founded the brand in 1830 in Bloomsbury, London.
Production now takes place at Cameronbridge in Fife, Scotland. The surviving still, known as "Old Tom," was moved there from the London site, which was damaged during the Second World War.
Pine and juniper lead the nose, brightened by lemon and orange. The palate is dry and juniper-led, with coriander spice, soft licorice and baking spice, and the finish is long and dry, with juniper, black pepper and warm spice.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
