Taylor Fladgate 10 Year Old Tawny Port is an aged tawny Port from Taylor Fladgate, a house established in 1692. It is blended from the firm's reserves of cask-aged Ports and matured in seasoned oak casks of about 630 litres, where the wine slowly takes on its amber tawny colour. The house bottles it ready to drink, with no need to decant.
Taylor's describes a deep brick colour with an amber rim and a rich, elegant nose of ripe berry fruit, delicate nuttiness and mellow notes of chocolate, butterscotch and fine oak. The house notes a smooth, silky palate full of ripe figgy, jammy flavours that persist on a long finish.
