Tenuta di Biserno Biserno 2021 is the flagship red of Tenuta di Biserno, a Toscana IGT Rosso in the Bordeaux style. The 2021 is approximately 35% Cabernet Franc, 32% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, aged 15 months in French oak barriques, 70% of them new. The estate was founded in 2001 at Bibbona, next to Bolgheri, by brothers Piero and Lodovico Antinori with their nephew Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi.
The estate describes a deep, intense ruby red and a nose of herbs and aromatic spices emerging from ripe black and forest fruits, with hints of roast coffee and dry pastries and delicate notes from the barriques. It calls the palate full and enveloping, with velvety tannins and freshness.
