TINCUP American Whiskey
TINCUP American Whiskey blends a high-rye straight bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, with a small amount of Colorado single malt. Both components age in #3 charred oak barrels, and the whiskey is cut to 84 proof with Rocky Mountain water.
The name recalls Tin Cup, a Colorado mining town, and the metal cups miners drank from; the bottle's cap is a nod to both. Citrus, black pepper and ginger snap open the nose, rye spice, cinnamon and caramel shape the palate, and the finish is clean, with rye spice.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
