Yamazaki 12 Year Japanese Whisky
Yamazaki 12 Year Japanese Whisky is a single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, matured for 12 years in American, Spanish and Japanese Mizunara oak and bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
Shinjiro Torii founded Yamazaki in 1923 as Japan's first malt whisky distillery, choosing a site at the foot of Mt. Tennozan for its water and natural surroundings.
Peach, pineapple and grapefruit mingle with clove, candied orange, vanilla and a note of Mizunara on the nose. Coconut, cranberry and butter follow on the palate, and the finish is long, with sweet ginger and cinnamon.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
