Davidoff of Geneva USA relaunched Zino in 2002, created two new blends for it, the Platinum Crown and the Platinum Scepter, and moved production from Honduras to Davidoff's facility in the Dominican Republic, halfwheel reports. Davidoff describes the Crown Series as tobacco from four countries: Dominican and Peruvian filler, a Connecticut binder and an Ecuador-grown Connecticut-seed wrapper, for a smooth, medium-bodied smoke.
The Chubby Especial is the Crown Series' 5⅞ x 61 perfecto. The other Crown sizes, all tubed: Barrel, Double Grande and Rocket.
