Bandolero Premium Bravos Robusto Extra is the 5 1/4 x 52 robusto extra in the Bandolero Premium line.

Bandolero Premium is made by Selected Tobacco, the Costa Rican house founded by Nelson Alfonso, the Havana-born designer credited with the Cohiba Behike branding; he began drafting the Bandolero brand in 2010. The name recalls the years 1717 to 1817, when Spain barred cigar making in its colonies and a bandolero smuggled leaf to roll it elsewhere. The cigars are rolled at Tabacos de Costa Rica, then aged three years in Madrid, Spain, in humidors lined with five kinds of cedar, a cedar “cocktail” that United's release compares to bourbon taking flavor from the barrel. Selected Tobacco introduced the line at the PCA trade show in New Orleans in April 2025, reusing three size names from Bandolero's Selección Especial range, and the release describes it as limited production.

United's April 2025 release gives the blend as an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, with Nicaraguan ligero and Peruvian filler, and calls it medium to full-bodied; our distributor's sheet lists the binder as Peruvian. The cigars come in black lacquered boxes of 25, and the bands carry the ring gauge and indigenous-style art, with a gold and pewter secondary band.

Cigar Coop scored it 88 in October 2025 with a “Don't Splurge” verdict, and rated it medium in strength and body, with cedar, earth, black pepper, cream and fruit.
