Escurio is the Brazil-inspired Black Band line Davidoff launched in 2015: a dark Ecuador Habano wrapper, a Brazilian Cubra binder and filler of Brazilian Cubra and Mata Fina with Dominican tobaccos, made by Cigars Davidoff in Santiago, Dominican Republic (Cigar Aficionado). Cigar Coop says the name joins escuro, Portuguese for dark, with Rio, for Rio de Janeiro, and Davidoff calls the blend "medium-intense." The Gran Perfecto is a 5-inch perfecto that swells from a 50 to a 61 ring gauge, the largest shape in the line, which Davidoff times at 55 to 70 minutes.
