Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic 1979 Robusto is a 5 inch by 50 robusto in a butternut-brown Habano rosado wrapper over hearty Nicaraguan binder and filler, triple-capped at the García factory in Estelí. Medium to full in body, the profile is rich yet refined: wood, earth, cocoa and mixed nuts, with pepper and leather giving way to butter, cherry and coffee. Cigar Aficionado rated the line 92 points.
A robusto of this character is a natural for the bar, and it was noted in review as a fine match for a dark rum; a bourbon or a Speyside Scotch works equally well from the Sun of a Gun list. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 20.
