Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic 2001 Toro Gordo is a 6 inch by 60 cigar in a butternut-brown Habano rosado wrapper, packed with lush Nicaraguan binder and filler and finished with a triple cap at the García factory in Estelí. Medium to full in body, it is rich yet refined, with wood, earth, cocoa and mixed nuts, pepper and leather early on, then butter, cherry and coffee. Cigar Aficionado rated the line 92 points.
The Cuban Classic is the Pepín blend for those who want richness without the sharpest pepper, and the Toro Gordo gives it a long, cool draw. At the Sun of a Gun bar it pairs with a dark rum, a bourbon or a sherried Scotch. Offered by the single, the five-pack or the box of 20.
