Short answer: Padrón Family Reserve is the top of the Padrón house, made from reserve tobacco aged ten years and released to mark family milestones. Boxes hold ten cigars. See stock on the Family Reserve page.
How it differs from 1964 and 1926
- 1964 Anniversary: tobacco aged four years, medium to full.
- 1926 Serie: aged five years, full-bodied.
- Family Reserve: aged ten years, full-bodied, limited production.
Everything else holds: Nicaraguan puro, grown on Padrón's own farms, box-pressed, and finished with an individually numbered band.
What it tastes like
Cocoa, espresso, dried fruit and oak, with the smoothness of long aging. Both wrappers are offered: Natural is drier and leans coffee and cedar; Maduro is sweeter, with chocolate and espresso.
The releases we stock
Which one first?
The No. 85 is the most approachable starting point. The No. 44 Torpedo and No. 50 are the collectors' picks. If Family Reserve is sold out, the 1926 Serie is the closest blend in profile.
