Davidoff describes Grand Cru as suited to newer smokers and to anyone looking for a cultivated blend. Seco leaves come from the middle of the tobacco plant, between the volado below and the ligero above.

Robusto and Toro

Grand Cru was long known for corona sizes. The 5¼ x 52 Robusto and the 6 x 54 Toro joined the line at the 2016 IPCPR trade show, both in boxes of 25 (halfwheel), along with a new Grand Cru secondary band (Cigar Coop). Cigar Coop called the two sizes "both staples of the U.S. market," and Davidoff says the Toro "is the largest cigar of the line."
