El Septimo XO 2004 is a single-vintage 2004 cognac from the Grande Champagne AOC, part of El Septimo's Magnificent 7 collection, and is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).

El Septimo made it with Comandon, a Cognac house founded in 1821. As with each cognac in the collection, the spirit spent eight months in the barrels the house uses to age its tobacco wrapper leaves.

The nose opens on honeyed vanilla and dark chocolate, then dried fig, roasted almond and leather. Full-bodied on the palate, it shows ripe plum, toasted oak and a hint of caramel before a long, warm finish of spice, cocoa and aged tobacco.
