Grand Marnier
Grand Marnier, in its Cordon Rouge expression, is a French liqueur of cognac and orange, created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
The blend unites French cognac with distilled orange essence and a touch of sugar. In the glass it shows a bright topaz color with gold and amber tints. Orange and candied zest rise on the nose, with vanilla from the cognac. The palate is full, with bitter orange, hazelnut and toffee, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (1 L). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
