Hennessy XO Cognac
Hennessy XO Cognac dates to 1870, when Maurice Hennessy created it as one of the first cognacs to carry the X.O, or Extra Old, classification. Today it is a blend of more than 100 eaux-de-vie, some aged up to 30 years, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
The palate moves from candied fruit and pepper into spice, dark chocolate, oak and vanilla. The finish is long, with oak lingering well after the last sip.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
