Kumano Mizunara Cask Finish Japanese Whisky is a malt whisky made at the Kishu-Kumano Distillery in Wakayama, Japan, and bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof). Its label presents it as a Japan Made whisky.
The defining step comes at the close of maturation. The whisky is finished for six months in casks of Mizunara, a rare Japanese oak, and it is this finishing period that gives the expression its name. It is a Wakayama malt defined by its time in Japanese oak.
