Prometheus FL-Retro Flint Lighter
The Prometheus Retro is one of the thinnest torch lighters made: 3 by 1.4 inches and a quarter inch thick, with a wind-resistant single torch flame lit by a flint wheel instead of a piezo. Here in two finishes: chrome with engine-turned vertical lines (Retro-04) and black lacquer with chrome (Retro-01).
Cigar Aficionado noted that the flint system is what keeps the Retro so slim: a button on the side turns the spark wheel, and the flint is changed through a small screw on the bottom beside the flame valve. It slips into a shirt pocket beside a cigar from our humidor, and Prometheus backs it with a limited two-year warranty and lifetime repair service.
Prometheus introduced the Retro in 2009.

How to use and care for it
Refill with refined butane: set the flame low, bleed the tank, fill upside down and wait a few minutes before lighting. When the spark weakens, replace the flint through the screw on the bottom. Our butane refill guide covers each step, and more pocket torches are in Cigar Lighters.
