Zaya Gran Reserva 16 Year Rum
Zaya Gran Reserva 16 Year Rum is a blend of rums aged up to 16 years, produced in Trinidad and Tobago by Trinidad Distillers Ltd. and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
The rum has evolved over the years. It was originally produced in Guatemala and was once sold as a 12-year-old before becoming today's blend. The hummingbird on the label nods to Trinidad and Tobago's national bird.
Baked fruit and spiced vanilla lead the nose. The palate is smooth, with caramel, spice and toasted oak, and the finish is deep, carrying a hint of smoke.
At Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits in Yuma, Arizona, we pour it by the glass as a single or a double, with bottles to go (750 mL). Our shelf changes as bottles are poured and new ones arrive, so call 928-276-3500 to confirm availability, and ask our team for a cigar from the walk-in humidor to pair with it.
