Ashton describes a soft, velvety smoke of almond, cashew, cream, coffee bean and white pepper. Robert Levin debuted Ashton in 1985, and in a 2003 Cigar Aficionado interview he recalled reinventing the brand with Carlito Fuente in 1989. The cigars are handmade at the Tabacalera A. Fuente factory.

Cabinet Selection (1988) uses tobaccos matured five to seven years and is mild-medium. Aged Maduro (1988) wears Connecticut Broadleaf.
