Newman introduced Julius Caeser in 2010 to commemorate the company's 115th anniversary and the 135th birthday of its founder, Julius Caeser Newman; the company says the spelling is a slight misspelling of the Roman emperor's name. Like every Diamond Crown line, it is made for J.C. Newman by Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic. J.C. Newman lists an Ecuadorian Havana-seed wrapper, a Dominican binder and Dominican and Central American filler, and rates it medium.

About Diamond Crown Julius Caeser
The line has grown around the lounges. The 6 x 60 Hail Caeser and the 5 x 52 1895 perfecto came in July 2013, and J.C. Newman makes the 1895 only for Diamond Crown Cigar Lounges. The Corona followed at the 2017 trade show. The Troublemaker had a lounge-only soft launch in October 2024, offered at first only to the 36 retailers with a Diamond Crown lounge, halfwheel reported, and went nationwide in May 2025; Cigar Aficionado reported that its shape came from a vintage cigar poster in the office of Rich Dolak. Sun of a Gun is an official Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge, the only one in Yuma.
