Crown Royal Canadian Whisky is the Fine De Luxe blend, first created in 1939 as a gift for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on their visit to Canada. Fifty distinct whiskies go into the blend, which is bottled at 80 proof.

Blending takes place in Gimli, Manitoba, on the western shore of Lake Winnipeg, with water filtered through limestone beneath the lake. The nose is rich and robust, with vanilla and fruit; the palate is smooth and creamy, showing oak and sweet vanilla, and the finish is long and lingering.
