The Macanudo Gold Label Ascot is a slim cigar just over four inches long in a Connecticut Shade wrapper, made in the Dominican Republic, sold as a tin of 10 from our walk-in humidor at Sun of a Gun Cigars & Spirits, an official J.C. Newman Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge in Yuma, Arizona.
General Cigar first released Macanudo Gold Label in 2002, and it now arrives as an annual release. The blend uses Connecticut Shade wrapper from the first and second primings, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and a filler of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Mexican tobacco, all rolled at General Cigar Dominicana in the Dominican Republic. In the 2024 Gold Label lineup, the Ascot was the only size packed in a tin rather than a box.
