Cigar Aficionado scored the Robusto 92 in February 2024 and again in January 2025, when its note read: "This bold Robusto delivers a chocolate-like smoke with notes of oak, spice and leather." Cigar World, the General Cigar Co. site linked from Cohiba's website, lists Riviera's notes as rich, dark chocolate, coffee and cream.
Every Cohiba we sell is the U.S.-market Cohiba, not the Cuban cigar; Cigar Aficionado notes that "the Cuban version has never been legally sold in the United States." Since February 2, 2026, U.S.-market Cohiba has been sold by Forged Cigar Co., a Scandinavian Tobacco Group company (halfwheel). Our guide to why Cuban cigars are illegal in the United States explains the embargo.
