The La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-400 is the 5¾ x 54 of LFD's Ligero line, which La Flor Dominicana calls its first full-bodied cigar. It shares the L-500's blend, an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over estate-grown Dominican binder and filler, in a slimmer 54 ring.
Cigar Insider scored the L-400 92 points in February 2002 for earthy flavors with sweet wood and black cherries, and Cigar Aficionado followed with 90 points that June, finding sweet cedar, a tangy edge and a cedary finish. It is rolled at Tabacalera La Flor in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, and packed 24 to a box.
